At the Mandala Healing Center, we understand how multiple addictions, mental health issues, and behavioral disorders can overwhelm a person. The complexity and power of these co-occurring disorders illustrates the need for clients to recover in a center with staffed with expert professionals who are highly trained in addressing co-occurring disorders.

What Are Co-Occurring Disorders?
Co-occurring disorders and addiction interactions reach far beyond the more commonly accepted understanding of drug and alcohol addictions. A number of additional conditions, behaviors and activities may accompany addiction and substance misuse. These conditions may be related to processes, appetites, relationships or mind/body state

Effective treatment of co-occurring disorders depends solely on an accurate diagnosis. As soon as a client enters our residential treatment program, they meet regularly with both our clinical and medical and psychiatric team. This collaborative treatment approach allows for each client’s treatment team to make an accurate diagnosis and develop a fully individualized treatment plan to fully address and heal and co-occurring conditions that may be present.

Long-term recovery means addressing each emotional state and pattern rather than separating the behaviors. The highly skilled clinical and medical team at Mandala knows how to ask the right questions to identify mood disorders, addictive compulsions, and acting-out behaviors. All of these factors play a role in treatment planning and can influence the length, frequency, and type of sessions needed for full recovery. We help clients regain hope for a better tomorrow as they find intrinsic value within themselves once again.
